Mid-Westerners. Now What? Eagles have moved on to the North.

Now that the water has opened up in many of the lakes, where do you go to find eagles and other large birds of prey?

How good are you with a fishing rod in one hand and a DSLR with a long prime in the other?

Can you recommend a plan or a schedule of known bird activities?

Being from north of the equator, I am ready for spring/summer, and I would like to shoot something other than the State Fair.

hey i think i'm that guy in the second sentence. and no i'm not good enough . well Joe you can go to the rapter center and shoot for abit or mn zoo. i'm thinking of going there this week myself.

I might go to the area zoos by myself this year. Usually I go with family & they want to move at a different pace than I do when taking photos.

I think I will try a small chair blind this year as well.
