Ok, this is my first macro post...I'm very new to macro (just got my extension tubes and sigma 105 on friday - tht new) Well, I was out this morning looking for things to shoot...I come across a budding rose that looks to have a web and a couple of insects caught in it..I look through the view finder and find out that's not a web they are caught in, it's a mound of their babies..so I start shooting

I get this, a pic of one of the bugs giving birth. I'm not sure how happy I am with the pic itself (still learning how to actually get a decent capture) but th subject thrilled me!

CC is always welcome and if you'd like to give meany tips on how to improve a shot like this next time, let me know

Thanks for looking

Also, I'm not sure if it's actually giving birth, but I think it's and Aphid - so it's a possibility

Yes excellent work considering the ratio. Aphids do give live birth and also can lay eggs. One of the few that actually do both. Neither male or female in sex (poor buggers). Strange little ones because they can actually grow wings. Keep your eye out for winged aphids, really quite neat.

Hey, Joan and Brian. well fancy seeing you two on here. LOL.

All the best.

Danny.

Worry about the image that comes out of the box, rather than the box itself. Its just a box.
