I had set up a lightbox from the DIY lightbox thread in the flash/lighting forum and shot one of my knives and was happy. I wanted to experiment with some different lighting.

This is my Benchmade 740 Dejavoo

Nicely done, I like #1 the best for layout and lighting.

#1 and #3 are good product shots...that second knife is seriously evil looking.

I got to get one of thoes Mcusta Yoroi's. I collect knives. but only ones with cool designs I like. I'm not into getting all of one brand, or anything like that. I just buy what I like. And on this one I like the simulated woven handle! Never thought to shoot them. Hope you dont mind a copy-cat....I think I might be one soon!

Mcusta makes some great knives - you can't go wrong with any of them! They're really well made.

I like #3 the best - the rest don't strike me as much with the positioning and lighting.

Okay, so maybe I'm not the only one here that carries a folder in my gearbag. I just got my first Benchmade folder. It's a Neil Blackwood design called the Rukus 610SBK. I was lazy so I just used my scanner for these images. Very nice images there Brad, I will have to try my hand at a few still lifes.

Man, they did such a nice job on the Rukus...I might have to pick one up one of these days. That's a huge knife but then again, Neil is a huge man. :)

I like the first pic and the last pic in the first set. And for the Rukus I like the closed shot the best.
