Sometimes it takes a long time to get a comment. It happens to all of us. I like the shot, and I like the environment you captured.

I would straighten the horizon if I were you, and I would crop in from the left side in order to eliminate the empty space on that left side.

If you set Image editing to "on" then I could show you what I mean.

Interesting lens choice - 28-135, any good? Perhaps make the people look more like silhouettes, i.e. lose the stripes on the guy to the left maybe, not sure now ha ha :)

There is an interesting thing here that has always made me wonder. That is NOT a horizon, it is a shore line that appears to be closer on the right which means it probably SHOULD not be level.
What are peoples thoughts on this: Straighten a false horizon or not? I say NOT.

I prefer the shorline not straight. DOnt know about everyone else and the proper way to do it. I think it looks more natural. If anyone can tell me how to take the stripes off that guys shirt to make more moody please let me know. Thanks

User CP>Edit Profile> then click the option to "on."

I have a version that I could post if you don't mind.

All right. This shot has a lot of potential. Don't worry about the stripes on the left guy, he looks fine. And regarding Photofranz's comment, I agree to an extent, but with this particular shot, I think straightening is appropriate.

Here is my take on the shot, killing the empty left third of the original, and bringing attention to the frisbee players:

i like the straightning but dont like the crop. I feel that it is now too crowded and you do not see the space and the scope. Also i like the dog in on the left.

By all means keep your version then. Everyone sees a photo in a different way.

I'm with Chandler here. the dog is too small to look like a dog unless you look carefully in which case your eyes are getting pulled away from the subject, the frisbee players. The subject here is the frisbee players, to a certain extent a false subject but without them the beach shot is nothing.

Also, the feeling of space is still achieved as it has depth in the horizon and the layers in Chandler's edit. At first sight I may have been tempted to lose some on the top but that ruins it.
