I had the pleasure to shoot some engagement photos with my wife for some friends of ours. Since it was my first time for something like that, I thought I would post a few of them here. Comments and critique is very welcome. Thanks for looking :)

It is not proper to have her sit the way she sat in #2.

How do you mean? :) For the record, she was wearing pants :)

I like them, I just wish he wasn't squinting in all of the first set. The last shot is very nice.

I learned from another great professional in my home town that you should never pose a woman with her "private" squarely to the camera, especially with her legs open...kind of open in this shot. I understand that she has pants on and far away from the camera, but it just does not make her look nice. However, if they like it, then it is good shot for them.

32 is a little different than I have seen

Most of the time we see the woman in the front and the man faded in the back out of facus since the pictures are more for her than her future husband. All nice set - the last one inside - he was kinda prickly....

Yes, I had one of both, if you check out the whole set on Flickr, there's the "classic" one with her in focus, and he sitting behind OOF.

Thanks Mike :) I was the 17-40L on one camera and the 85 f/1.8 on the other. As I was only shooting stopped down with the 85 f/1.8, I almost wish I would have put the 70-200 f/4L on it instead.
