I have the 800IS, and I know the stats, but does anyone have any real-world experience with the 800 vs 870IS? They have the same wide angle to zoom, but the 870 loses the VF for a larger screen (I almost ALWAYS use the lcd anyway) and the 870 has one more mega pixel. The 870, though, slows down in burst mode (1.3fps vs. 1.7 for the 800, and I do use burst).
Normally, I wouldn't even bother for such minor improvements BUT I read one review that claimed the 870 IQ was much better than the 800, though they couldn't say whether that was due to specific product changes, or if they just had a poor 800 demo unit.
I like the 800, but would get an 870 if the IQ is better (and then the LCD and extra MP are a great throw-in).
Does anyone have any real-world experience with both the 800 and 870, and did you find the 870 better, or no difference?
