I haven't taken many shots of building details, and thought this would make for good practice. I shot with the sun behind to better illuminate the glass (the building blocked the direct view of the sun, and the overcast sky,...). Both shots are center focused, with the horizontal requiring a slight recompose. How are these for composition/placement? Which shot do you prefer, and why? What are your likes dislikes? Do you personally like either of the shots? I used a cpl filter for both, on my XT. Here's the exif info as well.

Horizontal shot:
Shooting Mode Program AE
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/125
Av( Aperture Value ) 5.6
Metering Mode Partial Metering
Exposure Compensation -1/3
ISO Speed 200
Lens 24.0 - 105.0 mm
Focal Length 60.0 mm
Image Size 3456x2304
Image Quality RAW
Flash Off
White Balance Mode Custom

Vertical shot:
Shooting Mode Program AE
Tv( Shutter Speed ) 1/200
Av( Aperture Value ) 7.1
Metering Mode Partial Metering
Exposure Compensation -1/3
ISO Speed 200
Lens 24.0 - 105.0 mm
Focal Length 65.0 mm
Image Size 3456x2304
Image Quality RAW
Flash Off
White Balance Mode Custom

I tend to like the 1st picture better -- has better color saturation to my eye.

If you would have moved slightly, you would not have had that plumbing right in behind it?

Thanks for the comments. I never realized the gutter was directly behind it. I've been more worried about the sign in the bottom left that was cut off. I also like the building color in the 1st one more as well, but I didn't know if it helped to draw the eye to the medallion in the 2nd one more.
