I purchased a Mamiya 645 for $700 and some film. I walked around what appeared to be the Bronx and then magically I was in South Beach. You know how dreams go right?

I was walking around thinking I had 12 shots to spend and that I had some bad ass B+W film in my camera. Every shot was carefully composed and staged. I had people posing, I was laying down on cardboard aiming up - I was right into the nostalgia of it. I was going to go home and convert my laundry room to a dark room and get wet.

To my horror, I was on shot 11 and realized I had colour 120 in my camera.

Waking up and remembering I have a 1Ds in my bag soon calmed my nerves. :) But I do like the viewfinder on some medium formats...

I was disturbed to spend my evening taking pictures of the movie being filmed outside and then hoping to escape to the eyelids. I woke up feeling I had been shooting for 18 hours.

You should write a book about your nightmares.
Steven King makes a fortune doing that with his nightmares.

My mom came up to wake me up, and my response? I literally said 1Ds mark III. No idea why.

I did an impromptu nude shot where I knew, I KNEW, there was B&W film in the camera. When the roll was completed, I opened it to find... color film. I suddenly needed to learn color developing. I did the prints in B&W. They still came out nice.

Wish I still had the negs....

That is soo crazy. Last night I had a dream I was on the beach running from a short crazy guy with spikey hair wearing nothing but a cardboard box waving a disposable camera in the air... He kept yelling "I just wanna take your picture!"...

wow. creepy..

:)

If I had a spare $500 around I'd buy a mamiya just to play around. I would rather have $500 in a new lens though.

Sorry Film, I've found a new love.
