Since I upgraded from the XTi to the 30D, I realized I need a different (N3) remote, instead of my E3.

My question is, is there a simple adapter I can get so I don't have to buy a whole new remote? I have the Pro wired one... and a new one is $33... hoping to find a remote or someone who wants to trade an N3 for my E3...

Get the POTN version (external link). You can use either the supplied release or your existing Canon one with it.

I just bought one along with 2 rain sleeves (just in case). They're a really good deal compared to other 3rd party remote shutters.

I have two of the potn releases with several extension cables, so I can set up two cameras on tripods aimed and focused at different bird feeders, while sitting comfortably on my deck. Works great for a lazy fatman.

Please speak slowly and distinctly. I have a wife and a computer, I don't need any more confusion in my life.

I got a cheap one from HK, some 12 dollars
it worked for 2 days

I wouldn't mind since it was so cheap but I want the camera to go "click" when I push the button
Which it didn't

so I ordered an original Canon one
hoping that it is not my 30D who is at fault

Since my last post I ordered one for the 30D, I tested it and it seems to work just fine
