O.K., maybe you don't think this poll is the best but perhaps it can be a bit of fun....perhaps not.

I figured out the other day how much I've spent in my retirement on my photography hobby in equipment.

Turns out I could have bought a nicely decked out Goldwing motorcycle, new car or fishing boat for what I've spent.

Still it sure has been fun.

How about the rest of you?

= motorcycle

I know what you mean.

EDIT: Your poll lacks my category.

You need a $30+

Are you asking about money spend currently on existing equipment or collectively over the years? For me I voted for the most expensive choice and if I haven't really hit that mark yet, well with the prices of lenses today I will soon.:p

Suggestions welcome.

Hello Calicajun,

I guess I did it from the standpoint of what I spent over the last five years....since I retired.

Part of the reason I got the poll going was that when I looked at many folk's gear lists, I mentally would tally up $10K or more.

So, curiosity was part of this I guess.

Take care.

:)

Hello fellow Minnesotan,

I hear you guys really got hit hard with this most recent storm. Do you suppose spring will ever come?

I can relate to the horse thing. My daughter and I had horses for several years before she moved off to college.

Owning horses made my photography hobby look pretty reasonable. I really didn't spend much on photography until after the kids were grown up and flew the nest.

My wife's family comes from the Superior area....beautiful up there.

:)

Mine too! She doesn't understand that as my skills and experience improve, my need for better lenses increases!
