Infrared and Sepia technique

This is in Tanzania where slaves were tied to colums and left there until an arriving ship would transport them to America/Middle East/etc..

Please disregard the picture composition, I want to go back and get better shots, but I applied an Infrared technique found in Scot Kelby's book, then thought it looked better in Sepia.

Is this a no-no or does it work? Im looking for honest opinions.

Looks good, IMO.

The shots cool.
The structures look like bearers for a stage, or dock/deck.

Works for me.
Which book did you get the IR technique from? Wouldn't mind trying it myself

Wow thanks for the positive feedback. Ive tried this technique on old buildings and liked it. Just never with Sepia.

I have Dan Kelly's CS2 book, which I found it in.
Basically open your photo
Choose Channel Mixer and turn on Monochrome. Then use Red-50, Green +200, Blue -50. Then if needed adjust the opacity.

Its simple and effective.

I like it - I think sepia works well here.
