Geez, when you guys say you're going out shooting, we better be specific.

No, just be aware of what side you are standing on.

I bow down to your .50 S&W. That is an AMAZING gun.

Part of the fun of owning this gun is seeing the expression on a person's face after I let them shoot it :)

Hey, I know that avatar! What's up Mark?

My first obsession is Reef aquaria and associated photography. So they kinda go together.
(sorry these were taken with a Noink. I've since sold it off and am now 100% Canon)

Second to that is building cars. Muscle, antique and drag.

The latest- Nostalgia II Eliminator, Small block on Methanol. 7.90's with no throttle stop. Next year we're going back to the Kinsler mechanical fuel injectors and NE I. Maiden voyage, made the Semi finals at the March meets in Famoso.

I have giving up on everything except photography. Other things I've done in the past guns, modding cars and Discus take up too much money. I'd rather put it in the camera gear. But my wife wants me to start another Discus tank, that could be a 500mm F/4 IS.

Well, I've turned a few "hobbies" into "careers":

Electronics
Computer programming
Computer technology
Stock market trading

Things I now do as hobbies, but don't pursue as careers:

Road trips (less recently but not on hold)
Outdoors camping and exploration
Home entertainment/video/music
Kayacking/whitewater rafting and other fun things (off and on)
Helping my kids and my grandson to "be all that you can be" (expensive and time-consuming and heart-rending)
Women who like to have fun (also expensive, time-consuming and heart-rending)

It is fascinating, don't you agree, how much photography fits into so many of our other pleasures, and even helps to shape those pleasures -- I can take a road trip, for example, through the Rocky Mountains, and have so many good memories, and then capture an image that brings it all back home!

Like this, combining daughter and grandson preparing to cross from Utah into Wyoming and then enter the Rockies on a dead-of winter road trip:

Nice looking corals! The last salt water aquarium I had was back in the days when an undergravel filter was the recommended way to go, and I think I was able to keep an anemone alive for about a month at best. The equipment available now seems like I could either setup a chemical reactor or a reef tank :)

Dogs... breeding, training, showing and agility. But have recently found myself doing fewer dog shows so that I can put the money into better lenses!!

I once enjoyed Creative Writing as a hobby, but found it way too unexpensive, so I took up photography...
