Seen it before. It looks to have lots of versatility but...

What type of photos will you use it for? Which camera will you use it with? Do you rotate the camera clockwise or counter-clockwise when going to portrait mode?

I think most folks rotate counter-clockwise.

I have one (not with all the extra cords/release, just the bracket) and the only complaint i have about it is how it rotates (like Dave mentioned). It is not natural to me, but after a few minutes i do get used to it. I suppose if i used it on a regular basis it would be more natural and take little to no time to get used to, but i only use mine once every few months.

CW vs. CCW rotation of a camera into Portrait orientation can be a major issue. Imaging having a camera with a battery grip (or a 1D body with integral body extension) and a CW rotation puts the extra camera controls of the BG-En in the left hand!

Not saying this is at all correct, but lots of people rotate the camera CW and shoot with the grip-down orientation of the camera without BG!

So it can be switched to the other side? i Shoot with a gripped 40D. I usually rotate counter clockwise.
