Same thing I thought! Could you have pre-focused the remote camera and left it in manual focus mode?

The behind the goal shot works for me even though the focus is the net. The cropping (i take it there is some) is great.

this is where the thread on hyper focal distance will come into play right, with the pre-focused distance preset so that most of the stuff will be in focus.

I like the goal cam most, it is a shame how it focused on the net but I really like it none the less. Well done.

What were you triggering the remote camera with, was it from your handheld camera via a Pocket Wizard?

Like the shot from behind the goal as well, the out of focus "movement" works for me personally.

Overall, I like the shot.

From the exif info provided, the only way to get an exposure is at ISO 3200, f/2.8. That doesn't leave much room for depth of field. If I was setting up the camera, I wouldn't know where to prefocus the lens. I guess you would have to just guess at where the goalie might be standing and take what you can get.

I hope to get some shots like this next year with my remote camera.

Yes, I have pocketwizards on each camera.

I think there are issues with the manual focus and 15mm fisheye that I use so to be safe I'm going to stick with the automatic focus for the time being, besides, shooting in TV mode disguises it much better than night games and AV
