I need help using AEB (white balance) and the meter

I have heard people talking about using AEB (white balance) and the meter to mesure things. Can anyone explain what these are and point me to some beginner information on using them?

I noticed in Manual mode I could change AEB to +2, -2, etc... but I don't know what it does.

AEB is exposure bracketing, not white balance. If you have it set to +2, -2, each three pictures you take will be at +0, +2, -2 stops on the exposure. On the 20D, if I turn it on and have it set to continuous, the camera operates in a tri-burst mode, where each hold of the shutter release results in three shots at the differenct exposure levels.

How to do exposure levels effect the shot?

This is essentially changing the aperture for each of the shots. The first shot is at the aperture set on the camera, the second shot is +x f-stops and the third shot is -x f-stops where x is the setting you put in.

Were you meaning to ask about White Balance Auto Bracketing? That works similarly to Auto Exposure Bracketing, but lets you capture varying Blue/Amber or Magenta/Green balance of the pictures. You can combine AEB and white balance bracketing too, but it'll take 9 shots to run the variants.
