In 2007 TriCoast had the honor of photographing a young lady and several of her friends as Senior Reps for one of our local high schools. Knowing the girls and guy pretty well we had a great time shooting and laughing and capturing moments all over the city of Houston.

One thing that stuck out to us was the energy and life that one of our senior reps, Eva, displayed throughout the entire event.

Excitement - Passion - Joy

just a few words that come to mind thinking back on that session. Knowing this young lady had been battling Cancer since she was 13-14 years old and now hitting her Senior year in high school needless to say it was truly an honor to capture those moments.

Here are a few from that session of Eva:

Fast forward to today - about a year and a half later. TriCoast, having all three of the main shooters loosing family members to Cancer, is getting prepared to donate our time and talents to American Cancer Society Relay For Life - an event which helped people who have died from Cancer, but more importantly also supports people who have Cancer and are not only fighting but WINNING the battle. We contacted Eva and knowing she is fighting once again Cancer in her body we asked her to "Tell Her Story" for TriCoast not only in words but also in photographs.

We have an entire Blog Post (external link) coming to this AMAZING young lady but I wanted to share just a few snapshots from today's spur of the moment session outside of a little coffee shop in our little hometown. Jordan (of TriCoast) myself and Suzy Roberts were all on hand to hear this amazing and powerful story of this young lady who simply loves every second of life, since she knows every second might be her last.

Eva Today --- Strong - Proud - Real --- Young and Beautiful Woman!!

Powerful, you did a great job of capturing her strength and courage. Her expressions and emotions are comparable in both shoots, showing that she has not let this disease bring her spirits down.
