Any tips for working with 2 cameras?

Hi All,

Shooting a wedding tomorrow and a friend has let me use his 5D. So it's the first time I am going to work with 2 cameras (5Ds). + 2 flash guns.

Any tips on the best way of carrying and shooting with them? I have a number of lenses: 24-105, 85L and 70-200 IS

Tempted to try off camera flash too after some experimentation of course.

I tend to carry two camera's when covering event photography but stick with carrying one camera (at a time) for weddings - you'll have enough to think about!

Also not sure that a wedding is the place to "try off camera flash"(?) [Edit: if you haven't already used it and are familiar with it]

However - if I am carrying two cameras I generally have one round my neck, with a lens that I'm using more frequently for shots, and a second camera on my right shoulder (as I'm right handed) Can get a little tricky though when using a couple of battery packs on the flash!

I think I'd stick the 24-105 on one body with the flash and the 85mm on the other one with no flash. Or the 70-200 if there's enough light for 2.8 or you need the reach, but I don't really shoot weddings, so I don't know.....

Make sure both of the clocks are set for the same time. That will keep the images in chronological order.
