This is one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken. It was taken a while back with an original Canon Digital Rebel (300D) ISO 400 with a really slow zoom lens at f/5.6 with 1/400th SS. This is straight out of the camera, no PP or Crop it was only resized.

Here's a test image I just shot at 200mm, f/2.8 and 12m distance (measured roughly) to subject. According to the DOF calculations I should have +/-19cm DOF. For the area of critical sharpness I'd say that looks about right. Of course, that is not to say that something 20cm or even 25cm away from the focus point will be totally OOF, just not super sharp.

That is exactly what it is a rare white (Siberian I believe) Tiger.
