When you folks take your big canon out at the beach do you use protection? Like a raincoat? :)

Seapray and sand are always the killers on the beach!!

Nice shots Jeff, #3 for me. ;)

I've only just started shooting surf, and at the moment i'm not using protection, although i have been shooting from the rocks above the majority of the spray. I asked one of the regular guys on here the same question, and he isn't using anything either. I guess insurance is a must. ;)

Nah, no need. Unless you're standing in water that is going to be splashing about, I wouldn't worry about it.

Maui is windy as ****, and I never have a problem with spray.

I like the 3rd one.

If its offshore wind, no problem...but never use any form of cover.
