Hello everyone!

Newbie here with a new 40d! I am currently living in New York (West Point) and I am hoping to take advantage of my beautiful natural surroundings to shoot some cool shots.

I am Loving my new camera but I am very clueless as to most of the features. Hopefully, if you all don't mind much, I will eventually gain a lot of knowledge from all of you by asking questions.

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself!;)

Welcome to POTN. For the sake of old guys like me, could you increase the size of your typeface?:)

Thanks for the welcome!

I can't wait to have a decent shot to share with you-- so far nothing too impressive, IMO.

:razz:Is this size better? Sorry guys, I am not used to increasing my font's size in other forums.

If this is too obnoxiously large, holler at me!

Oh BTW, is leaving a UV filter on 24/7 alright? Will it interfere with indoor shots?

Thanks!

Now guys don't be too hard on BlueBlue, have any of you thought about font size when replying? I know I haven't. And where is it changeable anyway?

My new laptop has the high resolution so the type is small unless I manually change it. And even POTN type is too small on the laptop. I think about it. I just never thought responding in color was helpful if the type was already so small. But I don't mind the colors too much, just not PINK. :)

Hi Suzy~

Yes, my font is dark purple. And on my monitor, my font is easily read. (except for the last posts they have been rather large!)

If nobody minds then, I will keep posting my giganto font so everyone can see it.
