Well I have had my 5D for two weeks now and I am totally delighted :) Ed has been telling me that I should have bought the 5d ever since I bought my 30D 15 months ago.

Guess what? Ed was right :D I am loving this camera! And, the "kit" lens (24-105MM f/4 EF L) isn't too shabby either :)

So, let me say to one and all -- "Ed was right about the 5D"

Jim -- I keep the G5X in the Glove Box just in case!

Congrats

There's something about the files from the 5D that makes them very appealing. Even after buying the 1Dmk3 I still intend to keep hold of my 5D for those occasion that require those silky full frame shots.
