Underwater housing for G9???

I am looking to buy a underwater housing for my G9 and came across this one on eBay. SEE EBAY LISTING HERE

This is the Offical Canon housing. I am wondering if anyone has had this housing or if there are other options.

I am more interested in usuing this housing in rain, snow and other things then actually underwater. So anyone with any experience with this housing, please let me know your opinions.

I assume the eBay one is legit (assume) but I've ordered mine from B&H Photo for the same price Thursday and it'll arrive Monday. I'd recommend B&H any day (been using them for 11 years now).

Get yours from the Camera Store in Calgary. The price is in line when you consider the shipping. I have bought many expensive things from them & they are great. I have the G9 & housing combination & it's perfect for your use.

Ikelite makes one for $600 and the canon one (which I have) is $170 or so.

The Canon housing works fine. The flash diffuser is an absolute must.

The G9 is great underwater - with its RAW capability, it is so easy to adjust the white balance.

Now, this was my first underwater photography experience, but I learned a lot and really enjoyed the G9.

One thing that would make it much better is to get an external underwater flash and use that connected to the canon housing.

You also MUST HAVE the canon weights to neutralize the buoyancy of the housing.

I have the G7 and the Canon housing. Absolutely great combination, especially for the kind of uses you're planning. Used mine on the beach and in the surf on vacation last month. Really easy to use.
