CS3 has started to default to "Progressive" when I use "Save As". I keep toggling to "Baseline" then save, yet the next time I do a "Save As" it's switched back to progressive. I've even tried exiting then reloading CS3, but there is no change.

This is very annoying as I never use Progressive. Does anyone know of a fix?

Restarting is a great tool ! When something unexplained happens and a couple of fixes don't work; Restarting the computer does the trick with Photoshop most of the time.

I subscribed to this thread to see what the resolution was. I'm glad to hear it was pretty simple to fix, although puzzling.

It was simply bizarre, but at least it's working again.

But not when the Photoshop Services script in CS3 Bridge gets corrupted as I found out tonight :( I rebooted my computer during an upload to Smugmug (dumb, I know) and Bridge crashes every time I start it up. After doing all the reset workspace, purge cache, reboot, etc, nothing helped ... but when I disabled Photoshop Services in the startup scripts everything works fine ... except now I can no longer use Bridge to upload images to Smugmug.

An internet search shows that this is a common issue, with disabling Photoshop Services being the only solution that Adobe offers. I'm not happy right now
