Hi Scott, October can be good, warm water and for most board shorts should be fine.

Thanks for the link Roy, some great images there! Looks like it'll take me a while to go through the lot :lol:. Interesting looking site too. ;)

I think October would be a little early for me, as the water's still nice n warm here. I was thinking along the lines of escaping the freezing jan/feb water, but i'll definitely bear it in mind. What are the seasons out there? Is october out of season, or do the prices pretty much stay the same all year round?
