That's what I thought too - and then I looked at the location - Boston. Gulp!

Nice place to visit though! :D

I can't wait!

I've been checking BHPhoto every day, I see some folks saying the 20th is the release date. I'm traveling at the moment and hoping they don't release it before I get a chance to run and place my order and get lost in the shuffle for weeks. I want to put it to use immediately! :)

Reliable rumor has it that it shipped from Canon to stores yesterday (Monday). I just wish I knew if it was UPS, FEDEX, USPS or something even slower.

Something changed though; BH went from "coming soon" to "out of stock" today. So it must be on its way.

Patience, must have patien.....Arghh, give me my camera, I want it now!!!!

P.S. It is about 14 house payments or 8 months of not spending.
Thank goodness I am still single.

I saw a post on another board about the 1DsMkII being in stock at B&H. I went to the site and the camera was "In Stock". My finger hovered over the "Buy" button. I fantasized about selling my 1DMKII and rolling the proceeds into a 1Ds. Only thing is I came up about $4500 short. I hit the refresh button for the page at some point and the stock status switched to "Comming Soon" Whew! I need my head examined. Ah, dare to dream. Somehow I will have to pacify my self with my ancient 1DMkII and a few "L" lenses.
Cheers,
Rob

Pah, its 50g lighter than the 1Ds, thats a good reason to get it. Solid blocks of unobtanium aren't automatically light.

Best Wishes
