I am going to shoot a rugby game in a half an hour. For the first time. Any advice I can get at all would be great. I will post the images when I come back. The things I need advice on.... Should I use my TC on the 70-200mm 2.8L... I only ask becuase It is heavy overcast outside and i would have to shoot at ISO 800 with a shutter speed of 500 to expose correctly. (I just went outside to check it out). Another thing is that it looks like it is going to rain. Should I just grab a plastic bag and some rubber bands and hope for the best. Any Advice at all is really appreciated!

This made me GIGGLE!!

I would like to know this as well. I take baseball pictures and I would like to slow the ball down a bit. Not the players, but the ball.

Unpaid. It is my friends rugby team but I need to put these pics on my website so when I start trying to get paid It looks like I have some work under my belt. The coach is also going to help me get work.

Get an umbrella and a friend to hold it for you. I have a rain cover, but if your camera gets wet, it'll be hard to dry it out there. I would bring it and hope for the best. As soon as it is coming down a lot, leave. There's no reason to sacrifice gear for a job, paid or unpaid.

I just found a nice big umbrella to use. I am going to bring a mini towel as well. When it gets any worse than drizzling I will leave. lol. Thanks. I am temptem to stay because I always wanted to take some of those rugby in the rain shots. They look awesome.

Should I use the TC?
