Just wait until you get married, believe me you'll want to have hobbies that your wife isn't interested in

I asked her "why don't you want a Nikon" expecting her to say because Nikon sucks.
But she said "why should I get a Nikon if you already have all the best Canon lenses...."

I'm asking for trouble
Rule #1 - Never let girlfriend touch your expensive stuffs! :o

Yeah I don't know about the marrage thing, my luck we would be married for a month then get divorced.
Next thing I know she would be leaving with half my gear collection! Oh noes! :o

That's okay. As soon as you get married, you lose it all. It's only when you get divorced that you get half of it back. :p

Well, you are lucky. The funny thing is I got in to photography because of my girlfriend lending me her Canon film k2. I wanted to get into it so I could do it with her but instead of the reaction I thought I would get, she got mad at me for having a better camera than her. Then once I started buying more stuff and taking better pics she got even more jealous. If she gets really into it my advice is to give her L fever. Then you two can share L's! lol

How could she not see the 300 and 500? Even looking at those guys anyone would KNOW that they aren't cheap!! Is your wife blind?

I already have the full L zoom collection and 4 L primes. I doubt she will be affording a 200mm or longer L prime, or 14mmL or 85mmMk2. Those are the only ones I am missing from my collection that I would be interested in.

Now I see that you've broken one of the cardinal rules of marriage: never let them know what your hobbies cost!
