Took the 30D to the beach today and got some surfing action shots... I shrunk them down and put them in order so I didn't have to post up too many pics...

Good surfer...

Bad surfer...

EDIT: Good for you, unfortunately you forgot the the forum has image size rules. Maximum allowed dimensions are 1024x pixels along the longest edge. Moderator.

That was on the Atlantic at Jacksonville beach. Thanks for the compliment!

Show off!!! HAHAHAHA

Actually this was my first time photographing surfers, and I learned a bit as I went on how to predict when they were going to go... I wish I had just a bit more reach on my lens, but 250mm still did pretty good...

Spent friggin two hours photoshopping out dirt on my sensor though, so I am going to get a Rocket blower today...

I said that the first time I shot surfers with my 20D, instead of my Sony P&S.

What aperature setting were you using that you sensor dust shows up?

I usually shoot at max aperature to keep my shutter speed nice and high to freeze the water spraying in the air. If you add a little unsharpen mask it makes the water really pop!

Sensor dust at f/8 is really bad. The rocket blower may not get it all off, but it's the cheapest place to start and see what happens.

Yeah- I bought it used from another user on here and it seems to be in great shape, but I don't think it has ever been cleaned... will try to rocket blower and go from there.

OK- got a Jet Bulb and blew off the sensor... no visible dust until f/22, but hardly... at f/25 you can tell, but I seriously hardly ever use more than about f/11, so I am happy...

I'm getting dust at /4, so Im considering investing in a rocket blower, so it doesnt cost me a small fortune at the shop. I'm a bit nervous about using contact wipes, though.

I was nervious he first time I did a wet cleaning but now its no problem. Just remember to rocket blow it first there is less junk on there so you can get it clean on 1 pass. This little buggers are expensive. I used 3 after an off road race just to do it again after the next days races.

WOW! dust at f/4!!! I would try the Rocket bulb. If the fust is big enough to be seen at f/4, I bet you can get it with this!!!

Also remember to blow with the mirror down before you put it in sensor clean mode so you don't blow any more dust on your sensor.
