It didn't work in the first position, autofocus, bud would take a picture when pressed all the way. I emailed the seller and he had a replacement in the mail the next day. The problem was a poor crimp job on an internal connector pin in the switch housing. I soldered it and life is good. The cord is about three feet long which is not quite usefull enough. What I plan to do is cut the cord in half and crimp modular phone plugs on each end and creat an extension cable to go in between. Should cost all of a dollar three two ninety eight!! The useful part of these cheap remotes is the plug. You could hook it up to all manner of home made wireless remote, relay outputs, etc.
