Lightroom 2.0 Beta has been released to the public.

If you currently own Lightroom, you may install this and run it side by side with your current version
If you do not have Lightroom installed you can download this and use it for a 30 day trial unless..... a current Lightroom owner "invites" you to try out the beta version. If invited by a current Lightroom owner, you can use this Beta version for the full term of the Beta, estimated to be until August right now.
I started this thread to connect Lightroom owners with people looking for an invite to try out this Beta version of Lightroom.
I was personally considering buying Lightroom, but since it appears that a new version is coming out soon, I will wait until 2.0 comes out. I would hate to buy it at full price, then have to spend another $100-$200 to upgrade it in a few months.
I figure that those wanting an invite can post here, and those willing to do the invite can PM them and exchange info to get set up for the Beta.

Once you have been invited, please edit your post stating that you no longer need an invite.

Your welcome. Make sure you read the release notes and realize that the catalog created in the Beta most likely will not be importable into the final released version.
