I'm considering shooting in sRAW since I don't print photos (not yet anyway) and put them mostly on the web. This way it will save space, but I can still fix white balance, etc. What are your thoughts please? Thanks.

If you NEVER plan on printing them then I say go for it. Personally though, CF cards are so cheap nowadays you might as well just shoot straight RAW and get yourself some more CFs.

Yes you can save space if you merely shoot and store JPG. And you can adjust JPG issues -- within a limit! RAW allows you to correct issues that are all but hopeless in JPG form!

I agree with bsaber regarding the cost of these cards now-a-days. Heck just get a 4GB or 8GB card ... I shoot in BOTH RAW+JPEG normally -- unless I know that I'll be shooting more than 300 pictures (then just RAW or carry additonal cards). I just bring 'em home and off-load onto my computer and I'm good to go again. but at least for any pics needing touched-up, I have the RAW image.

Ok. Sounds like a bad idea from what you are saying. I'll just have to get some more cards. Thanks for your input.
