Does anyone use an attachment for their monopod that allows quick shifts from horizontal to vertical? My funds are very limited and I can't afford to get something that I later find doesn't work very well.

Nov 17, 2004 14:38 | #4 I'm using the Tamron 28-75 2.8. I can usually handhold, but I shoot in a dark nightclub and sometimes want the flash off so the color cast of the lights shows. I'll have to look into the ballheads, as I have no experience with them.

Even with a tripod ring, the ballhead gives you a lot of flexibility in your movement and positioning. If you want to take a walk down a path that we have seen here many times before and probably will again, go here: Rick
