Those are excellent portraits Shane.

Another couple of different views

,

,

Those are pretty common and as SS said.. normally found under Pine trees of some sort.
We used to call them fly mushrooms, and as SS said they are called Fly Agaric. I think we also called them pixie mushrooms, but that is because most fairy tales show these with Pixies under them

One of tonights efforts...
Straight from the camera and resized.

I would be happier if the 350d could go to ISO3200 though dammit.

Still pretty good though.

let me guess, they were under/near some pine trees or macrocarpa? if so, i think the common name is fly agaric and they are a symbioant with coniferous forests.

if not... buggered if i know lol

Is NZ having a rebate at all?

Wait, no I don't want to know. Puts wallet down.

Clever thinking Batman :)

I'll move some maccas photos out of hidden folders for scrutiny by you folks.
They're all straight out of the camera stuff.

Got a big thanks email from the Marketing manager and a bundle of photos got sent around Australasia (including to the CEO). And the email said I was an Auckland Account Manager. About Bl00dy time, my business cards title me incorrectly, hehe

Good on ya Kirst!

Now, if they will just increase your pay to cover the expenses++ then it will be all good:p You have to tell them that you can take the credit but you would prefer cash:lol:

Yeah, I think it is. I did not get confirmed, I was just a sponsor. I got confirmed a few years back. :)

Again, full marks. Don't know how common they are but as I said, I don't go looking for them but I'm sure some people hunt them out:rolleyes:

Congratulations Peter :)

Thank you ... yeah I haven't hit the holy grail of sharpening yet in post - it's hard to know how much is too much by the time it gets resized and uploaded  and yes it is the A75.

Actually I'm pretty knackered this morning.. I went camping with the boys last night.
Told spooky stories and got the youngest one so scared that he went home.
Of course it was late & then my oldest & the neighbours son woke at 05:30 ... Yawn. I went out with my camera & played with my Macro in the early morning light.
Herez a couple from the camping.
I liked the smoke trail on this.

And now my macros from today.

I found I had all the parts for a nice macro flash attached to my camera with a softbox.
A couple of these where with the softbox.. rest sunshine.

This lens is f..ing sharp.
