The first digital camera I bought, Sony DSC-P150. When I bought it new, it cost about $470, and the 512mb Memory Stick I bought cost $80.

My 70-200 sitting pretty in the bag.

Ah, good old Sony

Mine was the Sony Cybershot DCS-F717. Cost $1300, sold for $600 2½ years later

Thanks Dave :)

I'm intrigued to see how the designer has cropped the images down.
He was the one that had misgivings about using me over an 'award winning' photographer. He has said thank you, but nothing more

Yes it is interesting to see how other people crop your photos for use. Some time ago I took some photos for the homepage of the company I work in and particular the photo used on this (external link) page I was surprised how they cropped it. At first I thought they had combined 2 photos but then I realised they just cropped it differently. About 15 of the photos on that homepage was shot by me.

btw great photos.

Well as long as you get paid for been a photographer, then I guess they can do what they want and see fit.

Question: did their crops make "your" photo better or worse or just different?

If its my photos you are asking about then I would say its just different. And not a crop I had considered but I do think it works.

Different sets of eyes and different reasons for cropping the way they did.

I always allow cropping room .....yet I dont crop that much due to lack of understanding I guess.

And Clendon (wasn't happy with these at all :p ) The Greenlane shoot above was the 2nd shoot. Less images, half the shooting time. Perhaps a little more practiced...

Well done Kirst! The GKPE can give you an award for best dressed avatar... then you will be an award winning photographer:p:lol:

For those of you with the 20/30/40D + 24-105L - are you happy with the lens, but more importantly with the combo? Just thinking of a good walk around lens... 17-40 is too short, 70-200 too narrow...
