Hiya D! Ended up with the 24-105IS, Spyder2Pro (no HueyPro available for 2 months!!!) Manfrotto 680B monopod, Hoya Pro1 UV filters for both 100mm macro and the 24-105... beats having just the 24-70L...

All that wording on the site gave me a headache.... and not a button to download to try...:o

Congrats!

Yeah there is a DL - on page 3 or 4 in a small link

pasta is $3 a bag and the sauce is $3 so i can feed the family for $6 a day... lol

water is free

i just hate the attitude you get from some people - its like they are doing you a favour by speaking to them - when in fact it should be the other way around. they have a need and i can provide them with a solution..

Arrogant bastards like that have never experienced what it is to look for work... if an when it happens, I hope that they are not too thick to realise that they get back what they dish out.

At the end of the day, I always say that it is their loss and not mine... Though admittedly, it can be tough especially thinking about the mortgage and feeding the family.

Hang in there Chris -- there is light at the end of the tunnel... Just make sure it isn't a lococmotive coming your way...

On the 24-105. Just got back from Progear... tried 3 other new lenses and they all had the same "clicking" noise... I was expecting to hear a whirring noise similar to the 70-200IS... Oh well...

What clicking noise on the 24-105?

Instead of a whirring noise, mine sound like a cliking noise when the IS engages and disengages... maybe 'clicking' might not be the right descriptor...

I'd say 'clunking' is a better description of it. My 24-105 does it. it's subtle, but it still does it. Makes no difference to lens(e) (with an 'e' for Moppie's sake) performancethat I can tell.

Talk about feeling the pressure. Jeepers, as if it's not hard enough to survive with prices for anything soaring through the roof, there's also all manner of organisations looking for donations on the streets today it seems.

Not sure if I mentioned this the other week, but I bought two litres of Blue milk the other day for $4.19. Two metres to the left of the milk was the coffee flavoured version - at $3.99. Surely that is all the evidence needed at the moment to prove this price hiking stuff is unjustified?

Cheese is close to 15 bucks a kilo. Cripes, I'm gonna be out here in a few years for sure. (was going to be anyway).
