Thanks Brother, ummm did some subtle HDR (sorry dave, PLEASE don't think any less of me) very subtle duplicate layer with slightly increased saturation on the water layer masked out. A desaturated layer on the grass in the forground and a bit of dodge and burn on the clouds

Very 'The Beach'

Nice, but where's the other one?

I had some incidents last year.

I won a driver training course late last year, and it was on a Friday.
On the following Monday I was able to put it to full use when the 4 cared in front of me all slammed into each other in a tunnel. I managed to use my newly learnt skills to slam on the brakes & steer clear of the car in front of me. I stopped next to him.
Very shortly after I got my new car & after driving just 15 KM Someone did a sudden lane change into me whilst traveling about 120 KMH. Again my training probably saved my neck & resulted in some light scratches rather than a write-off.

Someone mentioned to me that these things happen in threes! I drove like a gibbering idiot for the next few weeks keeping an eye on every car anywhere in the near. A big safety distance between me and the car in front.

Then when I was in Austria I was in a town when I suddenly saw a car coming towards me swerve off the road then back onto the road and come straight at me. I slammed on the brakes & when I saw he wasn't stopping threw in reverse & backed out of his path at the last second. Lucky there was no one behind me. He then went off the road & crashed through a fence. He was stone dead after a heart attack!

OK, you win on the story front :( Although I could add that the other driver in my incident was prosecuted (and rightly so for being so damn out of her depth).

OK quick hello - just got broad band installed - sick of trying to get on here with dial up. photo upload so fast!! unfortunatley I find that it hasnt improved my photo taking capabilities - note to self, check camera settings before taking photos. This was a quick session with my pups - forgot had been playin with ISO etc. Wanted to post something tho to test new connection!!

That deserves a caption competition me thinks.

Here is my favourite - Mount Cook from the Lake Pukaki lookout - bet you have never see this view before - Not!

Met a really interesting guy at the shooting range tonight. He brought in this old french rifle (circa 1910 apparently). What an interesting dude. In his fifties, completed a marine biology degree recently (after finding out he was severly dyslexic).

Had a real cool conversation about the guns, armour piercing rounds etc etc.

There is something very cool about meeting people who have passion and energy. It makes a nice change.

And I havnt spent enough

Sancho dont take this the wrong way as it is an observation of landscape photography generally

To me it is way to over processed. Clouds are not black and white while the rest is saturated colour. I guess you caught me after this months Ausy "Better photography" Mag.

Maybe Im a bit of a pureist or frustrated that "natural" landscape photos dont pop untill they are over processed.

I loved your "Nude" the other day and assume the PP wasnt much different.

I know after spend 15yrs working outside in all sorts of weather you become used to seeing certian colours as "natural"

I know you're right...

I am tainted for life. Sitting here in fairly much the "rave" uniform... and Zebra striped hair, with the stereo pumping out weird bleepy music.

There's no hope...

It's funny you mention that Tony. Cause I have some shots from Muriwai a while back that look fake - despite no post processing at all. Sometimes it's just bizarre.
