Looks like due to technical difficulties, weka2000 won't be joining us this evening. seems there's no internet reaching as far as his house...

some fairly old canon camera stuff, canon lenses, Manfrotto "thingy", and an M5, also an M6 that has had a 720nm filter bolted onto the sensor:

Anyone know some good accounting and office software (needs to be SIMPLE to setup and learn, cheap/free is good too :)

Also any stock inventory/invoicing software? same requirements as above :)

Thanks

I wonder how our Hydro lakes are looking now......

But of course there will be a "power crisis" next year too, because nobody (meaning nobody in the power companies or government) will do anything about it.....we'll undoubtably get the same "power crisis" messages next year after (what I hope will be) a long hot summer.

Bring on the global warming that I hear so much about. My fingers are cold.

By the way, I am pi**ed that I won't even be allowed to chose what lightbulbs I want to use with a year or so.

Those flouro jobs can cost 12 bucks or more. Compare that to a standard incandescent at around, what, 2-4 dollars.

The next thing you know, there will be a compulsory "global warming tax" on the fluro bulbs.....captive market, captive tax.

I'm such a cynic. But I know you love me anyway.

stock up now, while they're still "relatively" cheap - I'm picking the prices of incandescent bulbs will only go up. madness...

(photography content: incandescent bulbs can be used for lighting)

Good point Duncan.

I think sooner or later we will be living in cold, dark and damp caves, cause we won't be allowed to use any natural resources for anything whatsoever. In fact, it's probably "cave pollution" to have people living in them even. So maybe we can't do that either.

What I love about this green movement is that despite all the scare mongering, very very few people have actually come up with real solutions. I mean it's all great to say that you cant burn coal, can't dig for oil, can't burn trees, can't use hydro power cause it damages the environment, can't use wind turbines cause they're "horizon pollution", can't use nuke cause it's too dangerous.

Only leaves solar, but you need massive amounts of panels to account for the loss of all those other things, and it'll be nigh-on impossible to find enough space (and produce enough panels) to generate anywhere near the amount of energy currently being consumed.

I wonder where all this goes in the next 30 years.......

But, at least I get to pick up my ultra-wide filter setup today. Yay! Woohoo! (note the gratuitous use of photography content at the end of my post - like you Duncan I am scared of suffering the wrath of Moppie).
