The Hearld on monday will lead with this.

" Man swept to his death on the west coast "

At least people could then make throwaway comments like "he died doing what he loved...." and then pretend they knew me. Or maybe not.

Just like when a school kid dies and all the nasty girls who never gave the dead guy one second of their time while he was alive, pretend like they're grief stricken.

Gee, I sound a little bitter there.....

Or maybe it's more like the guy who used to tease one of my mates at school. I see him on the street years later, now a police officer. Figures. I don't agree with, or use the term 'pig' when referring to the police, but it fits for that guy.

How was that for severe digression from post topic? Pretty good huh?

I know you're only looking out for me Shrimper. I love you man.

CF

OK so "quite alot" is an understatement. Sigma 10-20 @ 10mm on the 5D:

Can someone point out the vignetting here. Not sure if I see it. Maybe my monitor needs calibration.

Civil Defence Warning
WHAT TO DO

Before the storm hits Civil Defence has asked Aucklanders to do the following before the storm hits:

- Check your drains and spouting to make sure they are clear of blockages;

- Pick up rubbish around your house that could become airborne;

- Bring rubbish bins indoors;

- Bring pets inside;

- Boaties are recommended to check their moorings;

- Check on your next door neighbours.

- Bring in all Canon 5d's from door steps...

If the storm hits Civil Defence recommends:

- People stay at home, do not travel unless absolutely necessary;

- Open a window on the side of the building away from the wind. This will relieve pressure on the roof and help prevent it lifting;

- Close all curtains to slow down flying glass and airborne objects;

- Stay away from doors and windows. If the wind becomes destructive, shelter further inside the house.

5D Snigger snigger... Hmmm Sounds like good windsurfing weather.

Reason behind it also is that it needed all this to pass a warrant... :S so not just a random spend..

Ok Fair enough then. (Bling):cool:

Sounds like good windsurfing weather.

news reports are just coming in where a wind surfer was last seen heading for America at high speed... a rescue attempt was not arranged as they had no hope of catching him....

I hate movies with cryptic titles.

Does anyone know what the movie "Snakes on a plane" is about?

rumour has it that theres a plane involved... unconfirmed reports of snakes...
thing is, these days who knows whats meant to be cryptic and what isnt? like the titles of most of wilbur smith novels, very few have anything to do with animals yet nearly every book is named after them.

Snakes on a Plane was a Wilbur Smith book before the movie came out? Was the movie true to the book or was there some artistic license?
