Financially solvent? :p

I'd rather be insolvent and happy... that's what happens when you get a mortgage too!:p

I walked into work today and got a big "happy birthday", the one of the fulfillment team started whistling the tune under his breath when I walked into the warehouse. At about 2 a large bunch of flowers showed up from Amanda, then work puts on an afternoon tea for everyone's birthday, so that was the start of the chips and cake, and just got back from a very good dinner with my parents which involved lots of good Indian and more cake.

Now I find a forum filled with virtual cake (and apparently there was ice cream ).

So far not a bad birth day really, definitely a good way to celebrate being 21 +/- the odd decade.

Cheers guys

HB Moppie! Glad your day was good!

If you really, really, really have to call someone a N a z i, then call them a National Socialist.

 Looks like that applies to some politicians over here...

Chief, it's been almost 3 years since I called you that. When are you going to let it go?

who knows where to get a hold of paper backdrop holders? Lil Miss, I remember you said in here one day that you got them from someone on tm and they're good, who was that from?

If you're not picky, here's something from my watch list... not that I am buying anytime soon... (maybe when my accountant bears some good news re my IRD payments!) http://www.trademe.co.nz …ing/auction-173678850.htm (external link)

I have a background stand that I got from John Thomson (johnchalmers on TM)... I'm about to get a roller system instead that I can wall mount and have multiple colour rolls

I'm not sure it's filtered because it's politically correct. I think it's filtered because whenever someone disagrees with a moderator's decision, the first thing they want to do is call the moderator a N a z i. I know. I've been called that a few times over the last couple years.;)

Well your avatar does have that little 'tash...

Excerpts from a Cat's Daily Diary
(if you have seen Family Guy … Think Stewie)

Day 983 of my captivity.
My captors continue to taunt me with bizarre little dangling objects. They dine lavishly on fresh meat, while the other inmates and I are fed hash or some sort of dry nuggets. Although I make my contempt for the rations perfectly clear, I nevertheless must eat something in order to keep up my strength. The only thing that keeps me going is my dream of escape. In an attempt to disgust them, I once again vomit on the carpet.

Today I decapitated a mouse and dropped its headless body at their feet. I had hoped this would strike fear into their hearts, since it clearly demonstrates what I am capable of. However, they merely made Condescending comments about what a 'good little hunter' I am, Bastards.

There was some sort of assembly of their accomplices tonight. I was placed in solitary confinement for the duration of the event. However, I could hear the noises and smell the food. I overheard that my confinement was due to the power of 'allergies.' I must learn what this means, and how to use it to my advantage. Today I was almost successful in an attempt to assassinate one of my tormentors by weaving around his feet as he was walking. I must try this again tomorrow -- but at the top of the stairs.

I am convinced that the other prisoners here are flunkies and snitches. The dog receives special privileges. He is regularly released -and seems to be more than willing to return. He is obviously retarded. The bird has got to be an informant. I observe him communicate with the guards regularly. I am certain that he reports my every move. My captors have arranged protective custody for him in an elevated cell, so he is safe. For now.......
