Ahh see I hear you and I looked at that and dismissed it, I tried the crop and found it less balanced in my eyes with the boats on the left.
Also a lot of my shots are left or right biased, I wanted this to be centre weighted and I think it works personally.

I have no problem with your idea though.

Ah so you did that on purpose to mix it up a bit. Nice.

I have had him on my list of cool photographers for quite a while. Used a few of his photos for inspiration too.

Ive heard people also comment its learning how the servo works, and once they learned to use it properly it worked much better, but acted differently. I have not experienced any of this but I have read this comment a couple of times from others.

i had mine looked at and it was 'fixed' - i am still not 100% happy thou.. and if by acting differently you mean it does not track and focus then yep mine did that,,,,

For ages I was using the common excuse, "I don't have the right gear to do anything different" when the issue was actually "I don't have enough imagination to do anything different". !

Ah so you have my excuse, wondered where it got to

Odd I haven't had this, or seen it. It just stops tracking completely? I assume 1.08 FW? That is quite fail :(

Nice work Brent, starting to mix up the styles a bit for 365 eh? Doesn't have as much of the trademark bright sunshine vs hard flash look. Much softer, and yes, sexier - all works very well.

...and yes, happy birthday to Kirst too.

Thanks Jase :)

It's actually cool shooting with Brent. Idea's don't necessarily flow, but both of us are willing to lout about and just see what happens

Happy birthday Kirst Have a good one.

Thank you Shane :)

sothen does some great pp work

Very little, Raikyn. Neither of those shots look markedly altered from the in camera view

Happy birthday Kirst. Very sexy photo.
SHould be marked as NWS

 Thanks, Peter
Not quite the calibre models you use, though

That's pretty cool. I like how the back light outlines like that.

Two lights open lots of possibilities.

I had so much fun shooting in Brents style (oops, copying :p) that I am very tempted to go get my own transmitter set up...

In other news...
I don't think my wee 20D was a fan of the moisture in the air this morning.
I had error 99, error CF, and the display is wont stay solid on..

*mild state of panic*

It's in the hot water cupboard right now, to see if that helps..
I was planning to be at Clendon tomorrow at 6am to do my ABstract shoot

I have wanted to try that highkey one for about 2 years, but I haven't found a model who can sit like that and not get folds in her belly!

You are welcome.

Things like this happen just when you need them the least.

That's why I kept my 350D so I can use it as a backup camera.

Makes it dangerously tempting to go out and get a new camera..

Don't mention Lens! I'm trying to behave with spending

Yes - I was a little slow on the upkeep.
I don't know, I reckon 3 hours sleep last night, and about the same the night prior maaay have had something to do with my lethargy towards 'now or never' shots ;)

Or perhaps it's because I don't know how to stand still for more than 5 seconds.

Or perhaps, I'm just a bit more of a fossil than I will admit to myself

BTW - that shot works really well with Rangitoto and the sunrise!
