On another note, might be my last post for the next month. I'm off to Manila, stopping in HK. Was hoping to go up The Peak and get a few shots. Might not be possible now, weather's suppose to turn to custard when we get there :P

Anyways hope to share some shots when I get back!!! :D

Correctness.

Though in this case I think it's more of a case of the fact that Kirst is actually quite the wee cutey, and that shot makes her look like a hoodrat axe murderer.

klippe wrote in post #5339637 (external link)
Oh yeah youKirst. I'm not going to wish you happy birthday for yesterday.

Ok Cliff...

tommykjensen wrote in post #5340155 (external link)
Hehe a requirement for that to happen (keep it secret) is not to enter the birthday in the profile

Happy Birthday!

Notice what? I saw nothing ;)

Kirst - this from another thread ;

Good luck with your camera.

Cheers, Shane.

Thank you Shane :)
I put the camera in the HWC over night. Batteries out, Lens off. I think it may have been the damp salt air yesterday morning. The camera appears to be fine now.

OI, it was my birthday too ya know!!

Must have been a day of Beauty/Intelligence being born aye Kirst

Happy Birthday for yesterday, Sancho!

I know you only too well if you were born on the same day as me.
Explains a few things

Sancho wrote in post #5343055 (external link)
Surely you should all just KNOW its my Birthday ... pretty sure its on the 6 o'clock news and stuff.. GAWD

It'll never be forgotten now.
It's the same day as the Pope

Allow me to wish everyone in New Zealand Happy Birthday!!

Please remind me in a year to do it again.

Hah, thanks Belmondo!

I knew it was, I had a secret celebration for you Sancho Villa, the cake was awesome, the dancing girls average and the hot pool was really just a tepid puddle on the side of the driveway....

All in all though, not a bad soirée

Core, and I got a cake from you, too. You were going all out yesterday

Sancho wrote in post #5343081 (external link)
Good work brother ... in that case no-one else had an excuse did they

Bit of a weird way to celebrate though, I just did the usual, dinner with family and the traditional kiwi 'sit in the lagoon wearing a straightjacket' thing.

What are you trying to signify there, Sancho?
I quite like it

lil_miss wrote in post #5343439 (external link)
Bahaha... thats fantastic! Not that I'm biased - but my vote goes for Orcon.. of the 4 or 5 different ISP's we've had over a period of time.. they have been the best

My home phone still isn't on!

I rate Orcon. I just don't rate their new plans. I was invited to be one of the test bunnies when they were first looking at bringing LLU out. But they said there would be outages for those testers/ I said no. I waited until it was passed testing stage and ready to go live...
I think they released it a little early

LOL, you ain't seen nothing yet, its from a shoot yesterday (yes I was bound in a straightjacket in the middle of a lagoon on my birthday) for a wee project image I have in mind, all will be revealed in the coming weeks, it has quite a few hours of processing to be done on it. The purists here won't like it but I can live with that LOL

I had Orcon for about 3 months, it was when they were going through some network restructuring, and never had much more than dialup speeds the entire time, have heard they have gotten a lot better since then but their high data accounts are too rich for me. Will try Maxnet next as I go through around 30 - 40gig a month

Ah :) Like I said - I'm a bit biased as I get staff rates :P lol

We're not on their new plans though - just the standard max/max with a 40gb cap. We dont get anywhere near that in usage though..

*touch wood* have not had any outage, or unusually low speeds either :) That and we've never needed to call the helpline :)

Our home phone is also with them, but I hardly use that..

A bunch of Canon bits and pieces.

Staff rates - nice :D

They were hoping to open up the new plans across broader Auckland, but reading that herald article, they didn't expect so many people to jump on the new LLU plans so quickly and just can't cope with the load

I never once had to call them before I flicked over, and I had about a 0.02% outage time, that's why I rate them highly.

Home lines don't bother me either, but I have monitored alarm. The alarm co can't monitor anything when the line is out

Funnily enough, as I suspected, Telecom and Orcon are having a bit of a barney over who is at fault with the lines..

Ours got turned off at 9am on the dot this morning.

Something to do with an accounts mistake after we moved into your new building.
But no warning letters, no warning emails, nothing. It just got switched off.

So long and thanks for all the flash
