1DMIII FEL tied to shutter button?

My camera uses FEL (fires the flash when doing a shutter half-press) no matter what I have Cfn 4-1 set to. I don't remember it always being this way. Is it possible to not have it FEL when I press the shutter? It gets very annoying when using the flash that every time I start to press the shutter, I get a flash.

1D Mark III firmware 1.1.3 and 580 EX
