I recently acquired a AE1 Program camera from my parents, so I decided to try it out at Lone Star Round Up in Austin this weekend.
Here are some pics from my first attempt with a SLR film camera. All pics were with a 50mm lens and TMAX 400 b+w film. Not all of them turned out like I wanted, but I guess that's part of the learning curve.

Nice shots !! I really like the Rat Rods in B&W. I was there too, and it keeps getting better every year.

for conditions like that, I wouldn't use higher than 200 film... 100 would be better.

I dunno, I kind of like the grain of the faster film as it is more period in keeping with the era of the cars.

Those are good shots, but too many of them. IMAGE POSTING RULES only allow 8 embedded pics by the OP per thread, so I removed the IMG tags from the last ones. You can always just post a link to them, though.

I kind of like the grain of the faster film as it is more period in keeping with the era of the cars.

Sometimes I do too, & I've used ISO 2475 for some interesting effects.
