I've been toying with this idea for a while.... wanted to see what you guys thought...

So im thinking about using 2x ab1600's + 2x sb800's to light Half of a football field....

ab's mounted high about the 30 yd line facing end zone and the sb's a bit lower and comming from near the end zone for a bit of cross light .....

any thoughts ?

If it's a high school game you may want to check with your states high school association as they may not allow lights placed on tripods anywhere near or on the field. Also, the school may ask you for a certificate of insurance for liability reasons in the event someone runs them over or they fall from their supports.

I would think it would be two much of a liability - But if you could figure a way to place them safely, it would be interesting. But I don't think the ab1600's would be enough.

I thought of it a few times and saw that link as well, there is another good one out there but no clue where I saw it. Whoever it was had more setup images and all that and talked about he did need to get liability insurance by the schools demand.

i have seriously thought about that for this upcoming season as well. I have 2 800's but I would need to probably get some portable power for them. I would also consider getting 2 more 1600's as well.

It might be a dream but one day I think it will work. The only thing you might get is the opposing coach saying that it is distracting the players kinda crap.
