But I prefer the term 'digital rangefinder style fixed lens camera' (though it is quite awkward, actually

DRSFL Cameras . . . I love it! You can even (unlike DSLR) pronounce it - durs-ful.

I'm fairly new to this forum and I've been able to get a lot of questions answered by just doing searches and reading all your threads. . . . plus, i'm trying not to get yelled at for not doing my research first ![]() Yes I have noticed that most questions have been asked and answered over time, however I don't believe it is very nice yelling at people who ask questions already answered, so ask away Peter Lowden.

I will probably get a DSLR soon, but won't ever give up the G2 - it's still got plenty of life left and I like the fact I can carry a versatile camera around in my cargo pockets. but there's things the DSLR can do that the G2 can't and I can't wait to get into that end of photography.

I'm with you Sam! My hardworking G5 is approaching 9000 images - in 8 months. Ouch! Now, does that mean I take lots of good pictures? Nope, but I think you get better the more you practice. Flash photography is challenging, and requires a lot of experimentation.... Canon 5D, 350D and grips
