Woohoo! I finished processing the Joshua Tree photos! Now, on to the Gold Country ones... Is that a light I see at the end of this tunnel?

Bah, humbug! Friday's suck. It means it's about time for me to go back to work. But, for now, I'm wearing my jammies...

I once thought I saw a light at the end of the tunnel but it turned out to be some idiot with a torch bringing me more work!

is it only me or do you guys feel that canon should redo the optics of the 70-200mm f/2.8 and f/2.8 IS to be on par with the 70-200mm f/4 IS

I mean look at the MTF (external link) compared to the 2.8 IS brethren (external link)

im sure deb prefers the older, rugged look compared to the latter:

they are correct...we've owned both and the IQ of the F4IS is better...it really is the best zoom canon makes.

I think a lot of the lenses could do with an update (starting with the 100-400 though)

So Mark what is Nosh??

I don't know if this is what Pete means but

NOSH
food : filling the freezer with all kinds of nosh.
• a small item of food : have plenty of noshes and nibbles conveniently placed.
• a light meal; a snack : in between noshes we explored the city.
