I don't find it as sharp as I thought it would be. Not sure if I am just used to IS lenses or what. I LOVE it for macro work (surprise surprise what it was MEANT for) but everyone raves so about it for portrait work...I just don't feel it. Crissa

Even on a FF body it's on the longish side. Plus on a crop you want a shutter speed up around 1/160-1/200 sec. to avoid camera shake. Jon

I think we need a LOT more pictures of her btw. I hope that it's something that is fixable fast, Crissa. Tooth pain sucks. But my favorite shots of the animals are with that lens. Cat -the femine feline with the namby arms. Loquacious, but not to a fault.

He has been horse mad for ages and unfortunately, we can neither afford regular lessons, nor do we think that any of the local stables are that good. So today, we drove half across the county to give him his first proper riding lesson. He absolutely loved it - I just wish we could do more for him. Anyway - I hope to have more to follow but wanted to share this one quickly. bbl ![]() Mark

I know it is not cheap but sometimes people will trade work for lessons when he gets a bit older. It is healthy, emphasizes responsibility, and well, girls are really into horses Do whats right HERE
