hey guys,

its my understanding that there are certain close-up filters available that help regular lenses achieve a "macro-like" magnification. thus far, i've only seen threads comparing the results acheived from filters vs results acheived from true macro lenses.

my question is: has anyone tried using these filters ON a macro lens before? will this work? if so, can anyone kindly post some images? i'm really interested in seeing what happens with this kind of a combination... loss of sharpness? beyond 1:1 magnication? ... etc etc.

thanks in advanced!
