A few from yesterday's game. First time shooting baseball, unfortunately from the stands. C&C welcome.

Nice shots. Looks like you had good seats. Good action as well. Only thing I see is the last one you are focused on the bag more so then Manny, but I would have done the same thing. Great work!

I work right down the street in the Landmark Building, and at lunch I strolled around the area with my camera.

This is one big reason why baseball in bright sunshine should be shot stopped down one or even two stops (or slightly more, if the light allows it). This is especially true when you're shooting from up in the stands, as the backgrounds will be inherently clean and you can use the increased depth of field.

As far as the shots go, good captures, but the first two are a little hot, and the shot of Manny sliding looks like a severe crop as there really isn't anything in focus. Did he spit chewing tobacco after getting this hit? He has a real annoying habit of doing this on HR swings, which can really ruin the follow-through photo.

Thanks all for the comments.

dmwierz: Thanks for the tip. I'm going again on the 24th and will definitely try that.

What gear did they let you take in? I'm going to Fenway a couple of times this year and want to bring my 20D and 70-200 and 17-40. Any problems?

BTW, Great pics! I love the Dice-K action.

Thanks! Nope, no problems at all. I took the MKIII, 100-400 with TC, 85 1.8 & 24-70. I walked in with the backpack on my back. They said nothing. Their rules are clearly posted and camera gear is allowed as long as the bag/backpack you bring is within 16"x16"x8".

Nice shots, too bad the Tigers lost that one ;)

Thankfully they got off the winless column yesterday!

I thought they got rid of the hawks after that girl was attacked. I love that place and thanks for sharing.

It's ironic that the hawk attacked a girl named Alexa Rodriguez (A-Rod)...

Great shots, but what's with the pants? Is that a new style for the season?
