I'm not sure if this has been brought up before, but here is a direct copy and paste from the Firefox 3 Beta 5 release notes:

Color management: (set gfx.color_management.enabled on in about:config and restart the browser to enable.) Firefox can now adjust images with embedded color profiles.

A huge improvement. Sound like there are a lot of other good features coming up in Firefox 3. Here is the link to the release notes:

This is great news, I just checked if Fx 3 beta 5 supported color management like half an hour ago and to my disappointment that wasn't the case — apparantly it was just a simple about:config fix. It's great to have a browser that supports color management since I don't really care for Safari

I am not a big Apple fan, never have been and I can say with almost 100% certainty, I never will be. And this despite the fact that I own an iPhone:) So, having a Windows based color managed browser will be great.

Anyone tried the Beta out? I don't like being a crash test dummy, so I won't load it until the final version is out.

That's good news, and explains why my website looks so much better in Safari. Now all I have to do is get a decent CRT and calibrate it...

I've had the beta installed since it came out — I haven't had a single crash so far (and that's with a lot of buggy and/or not updated plug-ins installed). I would say that this is a great update, although it might not look like much is done but the performance is much better.

Yeah, I've had that setting set since firefox3 beta4... works great. There's a couple websites out there to test it out on.

I especially like this one. In IE the picture is a mess... but displays cleanly in Firefox when set right.

Using it now, the only issue I have had is trying to watch ONE particular Quicktime video on the File Maker website. This video will just not play with Safari, but FF3B5 crashes when I try and play this same video. Obviously there is an issue with the Quicktime file, not FF. Anyway, Works great so far. Fast, nice looking and gotta love the login password memory.

Where the heck is this about:config located?

Nevermind I found it. For those of us who are not programmer nerds, it's something you type in the address bar.
